N.B. Handy Awards Top Suppliers

LYNCHBURG, Va. - N.B. Handy Co. held its eighth annual Vendor Performance Recognition Event honoring its preferred vendors for outstanding performance during the 2007 calendar year. Vendors were compared against performance standards and their previous performance levels on attributes that contribute to N.B. Handy’s success - delivery, service, pricing, and quality.

Sam Meeks, vice president of sales HVAC, N.B. Handy Co., was one of the key executives to address the vendors at the event.

“By being asked to come to Lynchburg, you are being singled out among your peers by virtue of your day-to-day performance scored on one of the most demanding and comprehensive evaluations in the industry,” commended Meeks. “Your scores are a tribute to the quality and diversity of your products, the dedication and performance of your employees, and your execution and implementation of your market strategy.”

The top nine 2007 winners were Berger Brothers, Carlisle SynTec, Coleman Cable, Ductmate Industries, Fabral, Heating & Cooling Products, Ideal Tape, Johns Manville, and The Techs. Five special awards were also acknowledged at the event: Vendor of the Year - Fabral; Most Improved - DuroDyne; Most Innovative - Honeywell; Outstanding Sales Achievement - Jerry Wandel of Fabral; and Outstanding Customer Service Representative - Mary Turek of Ductmate.

Award winners were invited to Lynchburg, Va., for an afternoon business meeting reviewing N.B. Handy’s strategic initiatives during 2007 and previewing plans for the remainder of 2008.
