Monday, Jan. 26, 2009: Fujitsu Expands Inverter Mini-Split Line

CHICAGO - Fujitsu General America has increased its split system lineup with six Energy Star models, with efficiency ratings up to 26 SEER, making them among the most efficient mini-splits available. The new 9,000 Btu system provides 26 SEER with an HSPF of 12. The 12,000 Btu system offers 25 SEER with 12 HSPF. Also new to the lineup are 9,000 and 12,000 Btu 20 SEER system heat pumps with an HSPF of 10.

Both of the inverter wall-mount systems are available as split system heat pumps, and offer quiet operation and nearly full heating capacity down to 5°F ambient and cooling operation down to 14°F, says the company. Refrigerant pipe lengths can reach 66 feet between the evaporator coil and the condensing unit.
