Mitsubishi Releases Controller App

SUWANEE, Ga. - Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Solutions (Mitsubishi Electric) has released the meZO™ (Mitsubishi Electric Zone) controller app for iPhone and iPod Touch, allowing users to control systems remotely. Using a Wi-Fi connection or mobile service 3G network, the meZO controller app enables users to control City Multi® VRF zoning systems and Mr. Slim® split-ductless and ducted units connected to the Mitsubishi Electric Network (M-NET) and controlled from one of Mitsubishi Electric’s proprietary centralized controllers.

The meZO controller app allows users to monitor the zone temperature; turn the indoor unit on or off; and set the mode, temperature, fan speed, and vane direction, all without having to be on-site. Additionally, the meZO controller app is configured through menu-driven settings that support multiple locations, multiple controllers per location, and customizable names for indoor units for easy control and monitoring.

“Mitsubishi Electric has taken zone comfort control to the next level with our meZO controller app,” stated Brent Johnson, senior controls engineer, Mitsubishi Electric. “Individualized zone control has always been a priority for us since it’s the best way to maximize energy savings and ensure total comfort. Our meZO app lets our customers maintain their mobile lifestyle yet still monitor and control their Mitsubishi Electric cooling and heating systems.”

The meZO controller app is available for free download through iTunes.
