The 7/8-inch compact SDS rotary hammer is powered by the V18™ lithium-ion technology. The 0856-22 is ideal for drilling small- to medium-diameter holes (5/8 inch or smaller), the company says. With three modes of operation - rotary hammer, drill only, and chipping - contractors can use the tool for concrete drilling, wood and steel drilling, and light chiseling applications. Combined with hardened steel cut gears, the hammer provides efficient energy transfer, and a robust clutch maintains stiffness to provide the torque needed for drilling through metal pan decking and into concrete ceilings. It incorporates an all-metal gearbox, auto stop brushes, and heavy-duty components for long-term durability. Its L-shape design positions the operator’s hand directly behind the drill bit for optimal balance and maximum control. The nonslip soft-grip handle helps reduce vibration and fatigue. A built-in battery fuel gauge on V18 batteries allows the user to check how much run time is left in the battery.
