MIAM Plans Fall Conference

The Mechanical Inspectors Association of Michigan, Inc. (MIAM) announced the date and place for its Annual Fall Conference. The Conference is scheduled for September 27-29 at the Holiday Inn Downtown on the Bay in Traverse City, MI. The agenda includes speakers from the mechanical/building inspection trade, updating members on entry-level requirements for inspectors and mechanical code changes in Michigan.

Speakers also include vendors and distributors who will talk about their products and how each complies with various mechanical/building codes. Some of the speakers are:

  • William Moy, mechanical inspector of Canton Township, MI;
  • Walt Macklin, owner of Design Comfort Co.; and
  • Tennison Barry, chief of Mechanical Division, Bureau of Construction Codes, Michigan Dept. of Labor.
  • MIAM is also planning a full social agenda for members’ spouses including a visit to the Music House Museum in Traverse City.
