McQuay International: PACKAGED CHILLER PLANT

The factory-engineered and -assembled packaged chiller plants are available in dual or single compressor models ranging from 80 to 2,700 tons, says the company, and include chillers, pumps, controls, electrical switchgear, and interconnecting wiring and piping on a steel base. The packaged chiller plants feature a shortened construction cycle, a single point of responsibility for design and operation issues, integrated controls, and ASHRAE 15 safety standard compliance, says the manufacturer. The company says the packaged chiller plants offer a low-cost alternative to chiller plants built onsite and are suitable for use in retrofit situations.
