May 24, 2002: NCCER Presents Careers Program

GAINSEVILLE, FL — The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) will present its sixth annual career awareness program, Build Your Future 2002. The 25-minute program will air via satellite on Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Eastern Time.

NCCER says that Build Your Future 2002 will reach an estimated two million young people. The program is described as fast-paced, using an entertaining and informative look at the opportunities a construction career can offer. The program also features interviews with craft professionals, construction managers, and company owners at construction sites across the country.

“The future of the construction industry is in our nation’s schools. It is critical that we tell young people, parents, and teachers what a great industry construction is,” said Dave Bush, 2002 NCCER chairman. “Build Your Future 2002 presents a fantastic opportunity for contractors to get involved with local schools and begin preparing our next generation of construction and craft professionals.”

There is no cost to view the program. For more information, contact NCCER at 888-622-3720 or visit www.nccer.org (website).
