March 21, 2005: New Report Provides Metro And Regional Construction Data

ATLANTA - Reed Construction Data, a provider of construction information products and services, has announced the release of Reed Market Fundamentals, produced in partnership with Property and Portfolio Research (PPR). The new report provides metropolitan and regional economic and construction data and analysis.

According to the companies, Reed Market Fundamentals is a quarterly report covering 54 of the top U.S. metropolitan areas. Developed by a team of economists and analysts, who use proprietary data sources to collect and analyze information on key economic and industry indicators, Reed Market Fundamentals provides five-year forecasts of industry and economic performance with detailed written analysis of market trends and what they mean to the construction industry.

"Our strategic partnership with Reed Construction Data is about combining the expertise of both firms to create more value for our respective customers," said Bret Wilkerson, CEO of PPR. "Reed Market Fundamentals provides Reed Construction Data clients not only data, but analysis on how the market is currently performing, as well as a forecast of how it is expected to perform over the next five years."

Each market report contains written analysis of current metro trends including economic and demographic data; metro-level forecasts of new construction supply, demand, and vacancy rates; and a listing of major projects in the development pipeline. The report also includes metro-level construction cost information from Reed Construction Data's business unit RSMeans.

"Working with PPR has given us access to a wealth of knowledge that was unavailable to us before," said George Haddad, vice president of product management and marketing at Reed Construction Data. "We are constantly searching for new ways to provide vital market intelligence to our customers so that they are equipped to compete in the construction industry successfully. Reed Market Fundamentals contains an arsenal of information from both companies, giving the client the vital information they need to plan for the future of their business."
