March 1, 2007: Danfoss Combines Compressor Operations

BALTIMORE - Danfoss is combining its commercial compressors factories in Lawrenceville, Ga., and scroll technologies operation in Arkadelphia, Ark., into a single organization, effective immediately.

Dr. Carlos Zamudio, who is based in Arkadelphia, will head the newly combined U.S. Commercial Compressor organization as its general manager. Prior to this assignment, Zamudio served as the general manager of scroll technologies.

“The new organization is aimed at achieving improved customer service and performance through the deployment of our Danfoss Business System,” said Zamudio.

Randy Jacoby will move from Arkadelphia, where he served as the director of assembly operations, to Lawrenceville, as director of operations. He will report to Zamudio.

According to the company, the new structure supports long-term, customer-oriented, organizational, and integration objectives. The new organization will employ over 1,000 people and offer solutions to a range of applications in the residential and commercial air conditioning business.
