United Dominion Industries Ltd. (Charlotte, NC) reports second-quarter net income before non-recurring items of $30.8 million, or 79 cents per share, on sales of $626.9 million. This compares to $27.5 million, or 69 cents per share, in last year’s second quarter on sales of $549.3 million, a 14% increase in both sales and earnings per share.
AAON, Inc. (Tulsa, OK) announces record net sales and earnings for the second quarter. Sales for the period climbed 22.4% to $38 million from $31 million for the corresponding period in 1999, while net income rose 37.5% to $3.3 million or $0.54 per share compared to $2.4 million or $0.38 per share for the same period a year ago.
Rittal Corp. (Springfield, OH) has updated its software tool to aid in the selection of climate control equipment for enclosures and has made it available for free on the company’s website at www.rittal-corp.com. Called Therm 3.1, the software can be used to determine an enclosure’s convective heat loss, cooling requirements, and potential climate control solutions.
