The Emigrant Savings Bank building in New York City, with the help of Johnson Controls, Inc. (Milwaukee, WI), has earned the Energy Star Building label. Building management said the bank is saving $200,000 annually in energy bills. Johnson Controls implemented a performance contract that installed the Metasys® building automation system, new lighting, high-efficiency electric motors, and variable-frequency drives.
