  • Carrier Corp. (Syracuse, NY) announces that it has purchased R&B Enterprises, Inc. (Oklahoma City, OK), a manufacturers’ representative firm offering hvac products in Oklahoma. The commercial sales forces will be combined, and R&B principal shareholder Woody Whitaker will lead the enhanced commercial sales organization.
  • Cimetrics Inc. (Boston, MA), a developer of integrated building automation communication solutions designed for networked building systems, announces that it has entered into a value-added reseller (VAR) agreement with The Trane Company (La Crosse, WI). Under the agreement, Trane will resell Cimetrics BACnet® routers as part of its value-added building automation system configuration, installation, and support services.

  • American Auto-Matrix (Export, PA) has received an award from Motorola for being the first U.S. company to design the HC12 processor into its products.
  • Johns Manville Corp. (Denver, CO) announces that it has signed an agreement to sell its monofilament business to Teijin Ltd. The sale is subject to various conditions, including obtaining regulatory approvals in the U.S. and Germany.
  • Thermo King Corp. (Minneapolis, MN) has secured a government contract for the supply of 585 refrigeration units through the U.S. Army Materials Acquisition Center in Natick, MA.
