  • Baldor Electric Company (Fort Smith, AR) was recognized by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency for being the only manufacturer with 100% compliance of its totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) and its open drip-proof (ODP) motors (1,200, 1,800, and 3,600 RPM) that meet or exceed NEMA Premium™ efficiency criteria.

  • Mestek Ltd. (Dallas, TX) has announced that its Applied Air Division has obtained approval from ETL under the new ANSI Z83.18 standard for recirculating direct gas-fired heating equipment. The company achieved the compliance by using a “patent applied for” method for adjusting outside air quantities to match the temperature rise through the equipment.

  • Rheem Air Conditioning Division (Fort Smith, AR) has promoted Randy Roberts to the position of Southeast Region manager for Rheem accounts.

  • Ruud Air Conditioning Division (Fort Smith AR) has announced the promotion of Mike Barnes to the position of Southeast Regional manager for Ruud accounts.

  • Weil-McLain (Michigan City, IN) has named Dave LaClair as Salesman of the Year for 2001. The award is given annually to a Weil-McLain representative who excels in sales volume, planning, promotion, and communications.
