  • A.O. Smith Water Products Co. (Ashland City, TN) has donated a Conservationist® Model PGCG 50 water heater to the Phase II renovations of Consumers Energy House in Bloomfield, MI. The house is a showcase for the Consumers Home Owners Association and has been designed with every detail focused on energy efficiency.

  • Scott Lange, president of Glasfloss Industries Inc. (Dallas, TX), has announced plans to open a new air filter manufacturing plant in Jacksonville, FL, in 2002. The company currently has manufacturing plants in Texas, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Nevada.

  • Steril-Aire Inc. (Cerritos, CA) has opened an office in Orlando, FL. The company has appointed Douglas A. Smith to the position of area manager in charge of the new office, which will handle sales and marketing of Steril-Aire products throughout Florida.

  • Bacharach Inc. (New Kensington, PA) has appointed Hermann Hinterhaeuser as its new president. Paul Zito Sr., who previously held the position, will continue to serve the company as CEO and chairman.
