• Greenheck (Schofield, Wis.) has acquired Heatex Inc. (St. Paul, Minn.), a manufacturer of energy recovery, dehumidification, and air-handling products.

  • Unico Inc. (St. Louis) announced that the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) recently used its systems to conduct a test study to compare conventional and high-velocity distribution systems. According to the manufacturer, the study results concluded that the high-velocity distribution system offers better comfort as a result of lower amounts of temperature stratification.

  • Selkirk LLC (Dallas) has promoted Bill Stermer to the position of EDI manager, and Dannell Matus to the position of national accounts manager.

  • Novar plc (Weybridge, England) will acquire the trade assets of Alerton Technologies Inc. (Redmond, Wash.). The transaction will be complete on March 3, 2003. The name of the acquired business will be changed to Alerton Inc.

  • Cambridge Engineering (Chesterfield, Mo.) is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year; the company was established in 1963.
