Daryl Erbs, director of advanced engineering for Manitowoc Foodservice, is 2009 recipient of the Richard C. Schulze Award, given in recognition of distinguished service and commitment to the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Making the presentation is AHRI Chair Keith Coursin.

Erbs was honored for his years of service and expertise on behalf of the industry, particularly as a member of the Commercial Refrigerator Manufacturers Section and the Research and Technology Committee. In addition, Erbs was cited for his part in the development of AHRI Standard 1250 for performance of walk-in coolers and freezers, which now serves as the basis for the Department of Energy’s (DOE) federal test procedures for those products.
