Luxaire Donates $200K to Make-A-Wish

NORMAN, Okla. - Luxaire® Heating and Air Conditioning donated $200,000 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America in 2009, bringing the total amount it has donated to the organization to $1.95 million since 2001. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

“When we embarked on this relationship with the Make-A-Wish Foundation more than nine years ago, we could not have imagined the impact our donations would have, both on the deserving children in the communities where we live and work and on the Luxaire family, whose members generously support our commitment to this organization,” said Brian Michael, Luxaire brand manager.

“Today, Luxaire distributors, dealers, and customers can take pride in the many ways their participation has helped enrich the lives of so many children and their families.”

During 2009, Luxaire’s contributions helped the Make-A-Wish Foundation fund a number of events throughout the United States, including a triathlon in Delaware, a golf outing in New York, and a ballgame in Oklahoma.

“Relationships like the one we share with Luxaire are critical to our ability to generate additional funds so that we can grant the wishes of even more deserving children across the country,” said David Williams, Make-A-Wish Foundation of America president and CEO. “We are grateful for the generous contribution Luxaire made to our organization again last year and for the spirit of Luxaire dealers and distributors who help us bring hope, strength, and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions.”

Luxaire also encourages homeowners to participate in the program by donating all or a portion of product rebates to their local Make-A-Wish chapter during spring and summer product promotions.
