The L Series® variable air volume (VAV) package rooftop unit has an energy-efficiency rating (EER) of up to 12.2 and an integrated part load value of 15. These units are available in 21-, 25-, and 30-ton gas-electric and electric-electric models. According to the manufacturer, the VAV design provides a way to deliver varying amounts of heating and cooling to different areas of a building at the same time. The supply variable-frequency drive (VFD) bypass control allows the unit to operate as a constant air volume unit in case of a VFD failure. Power exhaust fans offer precise control of building pressurization, says the company.
