Leland-Powell Fasteners Inc.: Sheet Metal Screws
Grip-Liteâ„¢ screws are designed specifically for thin sheet metal applications. According to the company, the screws provide tight assembly with increased strip-out torque, improving joint strength. A radius point adds safety by eliminating the sharp point that can cause injury, cut wire insulation, or allow the screw to drill its own hole if the assembly is misaligned, says the manufacturer. The screws are available in standard head styles in diameters from No. 6 through 5/16.
