NEW YORK, NY — According to a report by the Conference Board, the United States’ leading economic indicators improved by 1.2% in December. This was the biggest increase since February 1996.
Economists noted that this indicates the U.S. economy is gaining momentum, but could still benefit from short-term stimulus legislation from Congress.
