A series of free educational pamphlets is available. The "Filtering Out Confusion" series is designed to help HVAC and facilities management professionals better understand how to select and maintain their HVAC filtration systems. The first brochure in the series is "A Guide To Understanding HVAC Filter Selection." It describes the differences between initial and sustained filter efficiency and provides details on relevant ASHRAE standards. Also, this pamphlet explains the pros and cons of various filter media technology. The second in the series is titled, "A Guide To Understanding HVAC Filter Maintenance," and gives tips for proper filter installation. In addition, it explains how and why to monitor an HVAC filter and provides advice for protecting the HVAC system and the building occupants during filter changeouts.
