Kil-N-Dri: INSULATION/VENTILATION BACKER BOARD

The Venti-board is a patent-pending ventilation moisture control system with an insulation/ventilation backer board. It allows damaging moisture to move between the siding and the sheeting, through the soffit system and over the top of the insulation into the attic, where the air is then vented safely away from the house through an attic ridge vent or turbos, says the company. With an R-4 rating per inch, the Venti-board’s waffle design creates a dead air space, which allows moisture from inside the house to move through the walls and vent up to the soffit and attic, permitting the walls to breathe, states the manufacturer.
