Sporlan has released its next generation of CDS conversion kits solution for converting SORIT evaporator pressure regulators on refrigeration equipment into stepper motor-driven CDS valves. According to Sporlan, nearly all A8 and SPORT pressure regulators can now be converted into Sporlan stepper motor valves.

Separation Expected to Create Two Stronger Companies

The Manitowoc Co. Inc. announced that its board of directors has approved a plan to pursue a separation of the company’s Cranes and Foodservice businesses into two independent, publicly-traded companies. The Foodservice business includes ice machines and refrigeration equipment.
Contractors and technicians involved in refrigeration work could be seeing a step up in business. In a report issued in mid-2014, a research company called The Freedonia Group said that demand for commercial refrigeration equipment in the United States is expected to increase 3.1 percent per year through 2018 to $10.7 billion.
