Aeroseal LLC, the owner and licensee of Aeroseal duct sealing technology, announced that it has acquired Comfort Institute (CI), a leading provider of home performance equipment and training for the HVAC industry.
HomeSeal is a new system from Aeroseal maximized specifically to make residential duct sealing simple. All components of the duct sealing equipment are integrated into one portable box with wheels and telescopic handle.

In most homes, ductwork carries conditioned air from the HVAC units throughout the house. But with as much as 40 percent of that air leaking out before it ever reaches the vent, according to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), it seems there is still room for improvement in most customers’ homes. Duct Sealing Technology Approved by Independent Lab

Aeroseal announced that it has been approved by Home Innovations Labs as a National Green Building Standard (NGBS) product. Homebuilders looking to receive NGBS certification may now use Aeroseal to fulfill the standard’s mandatory requirements for HVAC duct sealing.
