Neugebauer will be sworn into office today to finish the unexpired two-year U.S. House of Representatives term.
"The National Association of Home Builders congratulates Randy Neugebauer on his election to Congress. As a successful small businessman, Randy knows what it's like to create jobs and meet a payroll. He understands how taxes and over-regulation hurt job growth and opportunity and he will fight to promote pro-housing issues on Capitol Hill," said Kent Conine, president of NAHB.
With all 207 precincts reporting, Neugebauer had 28,546 votes to Conaway's 27,959, for a 587 vote margin.
NAHB supported Neugebauer and launched an effort with members to help identify and mobilize the pro-housing vote. A long-time member of NAHB, Neugebauer serves on the association's board of directors and is a former national vice president.
