ROCKVILLE, Md. - The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) announced that MCAA member company AZCO Inc., Appleton, Wis., has received several National Safety Council (NSC) awards this year for outstanding safety performance.

The company received a Certificate of Merit Award for Outstanding Safety Practices in its pipe fabrication facility for Zero Recordable Injuries during the period Aug. 1, 2002 through Feb. 1, 2006. The NSC also presented AZCO with the Safety Leadership Award in recognition of safety leadership in its fabrication facilities from 2000 through 2005 as part of the Council's Occupational Safety/Health Award Program. The company also received the NSC's Perfect Record Award (another Occupational Safety/Health Award Program) for operating 80,132 employee hours in its fabrication facilities without occupational injury or illness involving days away from work for the period Jan. 1, 2005 to Dec. 31, 2005.
