July 16, 2010: Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing Launches Yes! Efficient Attic Systems

LAS VEGAS - Kenneth D. Goodrich, founder and president of Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing and vice president of the Southwest division of American Residential Services (ARS), announced that the company has launched Yes! Efficient Attic Systems (EAS), a new business division that provides green energy solutions to residents across the Las Vegas Valley. According to the company, by promoting proper insulation, radiant barrier, and ventilation in attics, Yes! EAS will help homeowners increase the efficiency of their air conditioning and heating systems and provide relief from the rising cost of energy.

“As industry leaders, it is our responsibility to present our customers with cutting edge products and services that will improve the overall energy efficiency of their homes,” said Goodrich. “This is especially true in southern Nevada, where air conditioning is a necessity and overall energy consumption drastically increases from May to September.”

During the summer, attics across Las Vegas can reach temperatures in excess of 140°F, said the company. The extreme temperatures cause a significant amount of heat gain in the home, forcing air conditioning units to run for extended periods of time. Through a comprehensive product line of radiant barriers, blown-in insulation, and attic ventilation, Yes! EAS can retrofit homes to significantly reduce attic temperatures and reduce a homeowner’s annual heating and cooling costs by up to 30 percent, the company said.

“In addition to the energy savings, and the positive contribution to our nation’s energy challenges, insulation, radiant barrier, and attic ventilation makes the home more comfortable,” Goodrich added.
