July 12, 2007: Linc Group Buys Jackson & Blanc's Southern California Franchise

PITTSBURGH - In a move designed to strengthen the Linc Service® Network’s presence in Southern California, The Linc Group (TLG) has purchased Jackson & Blanc’s Linc® franchise in Irwindale, Calif.

A Linc Service Contractor since 1998, Jackson and Blanc has been serving the heating and air conditioning needs of its customers for more than 75 years. TLG’s acquisition will combine the Irwindale franchise with TLG’s company-owned store in Irvine - Linc Mechanical - one of 21 locations in major metropolitan markets throughout the United States. The Linc Service Network is comprised of these 21 locations, plus more than 110 additional, independently owned franchises throughout the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda.

Linc Service Contractors follow the disciplines of the Linc System®, a proprietary system for delivering professional preventive maintenance, equipment retrofits, and energy efficiency to the commercial buildings market. TLG is the parent company of Linc Network LLC, franchisor of the Linc System. With the company being part of the Linc Service Network for nearly 10 years, Jackson & Blanc-Irwindale General Manager Craig Wagner anticipates a smooth transition between the Irwindale and Irvine locations.

“Combining resources with our successful, southern neighbors represents an exciting chapter for Jackson & Blanc,” Wagner said. “We are well-versed with the Linc System, so the familiarity of joining forces with another member of the network certainly will facilitate the changes in our operations. I believe we can achieve great things through this new alliance.”

“Seizing the opportunity to keep a valuable member of our network under the Linc umbrella was very important to us,” said Scott Giacobbe, president and CEO of Linc Network LLC. “We look forward to providing Jackson & Blanc-Irwindale’s customers with the same high-quality, professional service they have always received and come to expect. This hallmark will remain intact.”

Linc Network LLC, headquartered in Pittsburgh and Atlanta, is the franchisor of the Linc System, a business format for operating a commercial HVAC service business. For more information, visit www.lincservice.com.
