Jan. 3, 2007: The NEWS Introduces Online Learning Center Page

TROY, Mich. - This month, The NEWS is introducing a new online Learning Center page. Brought to you in cooperation with HVACReducation.net, a leader in online HVACR training, the new Learning Center has been developed to provide contractors and technicians with more convenient and cost effective training leading to North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification.

In addition, through this exclusive arrangement with HVACReducation.net, NEWS magazine subscribers earn a 15 percent discount on every course. On group training, that can add up to substantial savings.

Online classes include: 1) Assessments to determine your HVACR IQ; 2) NATE exam preparation to help you pass on the first try; and 3) NATE-recognized courses such as HVAC fundamentals, electrical, HVAC system, gas or oil heating, refrigeration, HVAC controls, heat pumps, and more.

Courses are offered in a self-paced teaching method that includes streaming video, animations, diagrams and illustrations, work based exercises, as well as online quizzes and exams. Technicians have 24/7 access to training, and guidance is provided by highly trained online mentors.

Online education also allows contractors to train technicians while saving time and money since there is no classroom time or travel. You don’t lose technicians to all day training, which helps to increase billable hours and profitability.

The in-depth content is designed to meet NATE, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI), Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA), and Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) competency guidelines.

The aim of the new Learning Center is to give contractors and technicians an easier and more affordable way to increase their knowledge, skills, professionalism, and technical competence, plus get NATE certified.

To access the new page, click on the Learning Center button at the upper right side of this page or click on the Learning Center link below.
