Jan. 29, 2003: American Standard Announces New Distributor

TYLER, Texas — American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning has announced that Crescent Parts & Equipment Co. will distribute its products in St. Louis. The distributor has a 58-year history of operation in the area.

“We chose to partner with American Standard because of the breadth of its product line, the dedication of the company to its brand, and the people,” said George C. Giudici, president of Crescent Parts & Equipment. “The perseverance and commitment to the American Standard brand is obvious.”

Mark Korte, north central regional sales manager for American Standard, noted that he is pleased to have Crescent on board. “Crescent’s infrastructure and distribution channels will help take our business in the bi-state area to the next level,” he said.

Clarence Bartling and Cosmo Giudici founded Crescent in August 1944 as a parts supplier for coal stokers. They kept pace with the industry in the ensuing years and in 1964 the company entered into the air conditioning and refrigeration markets. Today, the company serves its customers with 12 branch locations.
