ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced the finalists for the association's 2005 Contractor Excellence Awards.

Finalists for ACCA's "Excellence in Residential Contracting Award" include: AirRite Air Conditioning Company, Fort Worth, Texas; Castellano A/C & Heating, Inc., Tampa, Fla.; Michigan Building & Mechanical, Wyoming, Mich.; and Peaden Air Conditioning & Heating, Panama City, Fla.

Finalists for the "Excellence in Commercial Contracting Award" are: Kahn Mechanical Contractors, Dallas; Tri-City Mechanical, Chandler, Ariz.; and Shapiro & Duncan, Rockville, Md.

In the "Jeff Forker Award for Excellence in Training" category, finalists are: ACCA Arizona, Phoenix; Peaden Air Conditioning & Heating, Panama City, Fla.; and Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pa.

"ACCA is proud to represent and serve the best contractors in the country," said Paul T. Stalknecht, president and CEO. "These finalists represent the best of the best in the HVACR industry and will continue to raise the bar with their example."

The winners will be presented with their awards at ACCA's 2005 Annual Conference & Indoor Air Expo to be held March 9-12 in Austin, Texas.
