CHICAGO — The Intelli-Hood kitchen ventilation control from Melink Corp. was named the Product of the Year at the Innovation Awards ceremony at the 2012 International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo).

Prior to the show, the Melink product was among those selected to receive an AHR Expo Innovation Award in 10 different product categories. The Intelli-Hood was the winner in the Ventilation category. The product was then named the overall Product of the Year at the expo.

According to Melink, the Intelli-Hood kitchen ventilation control reduces exhaust and makeup fan speeds during idle, non-cooking conditions, providing fan energy savings of up to 90 percent and conditioned air savings of up to 50 percent.
