Jan. 23, 2009: A.O. Smith Rep Opens Energy-Efficiency Showroom in New York

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. - Wales-Darby Inc., one of A.O. Smith Water Product Co.’s leading representatives in the Metro New York/Long Island/New Jersey area, has opened an energy-efficiency showroom at its Islandia, N.Y., location. Designed as a multipurpose facility, the Wales-Darby Energy Room is said to provide a setting dedicated to the display of functional HVAC/plumbing products and systems that present energy-efficient and eco-conscious alternatives to standard efficiency options.

Wales-Darby represents the entire line of A.O. Smith residential and commercial water heaters and high-efficiency copper tube boilers.

For more than 35 years, Wales-Darby said it has been committed to providing training for its trade partners, including contractors, builders, and wholesale distributors. In keeping with that commitment, the Wales-Darby Energy Room will function as an education center and serve as a site for training opportunities provided by outside trade organizations and associations.

“The Energy Room has been a vision of mine for the past two years and is now a reality,” said Brian Darby, chief operating officer of Wales-Darby Inc. “We are appreciative of A.O. Smith’s support of our vision and look forward to assisting them in spreading the message of the countless benefits of environmentally efficient water heaters.”
