Tempstar SmartComfort™ 2200 Series split-system heat pumps are designed for easy installation and service, says the manu-facturer. Available in capacities from 1.5 to 5 tons, these units provide 12-SEER performance. In the heating mode, efficiencies range from 8.5 to 9 HSPF. The slanted “easy view” control panel allows the technician to see all electrical connections while standing up; the quick-opening compressor compartment opens by removing just four screws; and service valve stubs are longer to allow easy access and protect the valves from heat, the company says.
