Instructor Improvement Is Topic Of RSES Seminar

DES PLAINES, Ill. - Improving and enhancing the presentation and training skills of anyone who makes presentations to a group will be the topic of discussion when the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) and its Buckeye State Association present the Instructor Workshop. The seminar will take place July 23 in Columbus, Ohio.

Seminar topics to be explored include the how's and why's of the learning process; examination of how instructors are involved in the learning process; creation of an action plan that will assist your students and yourself; discovery of how to structure material for effective learning; and resources available to supplement RSES material.

Gene Porter Jr., CM, and Bill Sammons, CMS, will lead the seminar. Both are HVACR professionals, experienced trainers, and veteran RSES officers. Porter has worked as a contractor with appliance service and with an HVAC wholesaler doing field service and contractor training. Sammons has worked in maintenance, refrigeration, and air conditioning and has been an instructor for the past 17 years.
