PARSIPPANY, N.J. - Robert K. Asdal, executive director of the Hydraulic Institute (HI), announced that four firms were added as Standards Partners. The Standards Partner program provides an opportunity for engineering consultants and pump users to partner with HI members in the development of pump standards and education efforts.

The program now has five partners. New additions include Healy Engineering Inc., a Milton, Mass., based firm involved primarily with large and complex pumping systems; MechTronix Engineering, an Elk Grove, Calif., enterprise providing state-of-the-art pump design, development, and diagnostic services specifically for smaller firms along with client training to enable customers to improve their own in-house capabilities; MWH Americas Inc., Broomfield, Colo., an international corporation offering a broad range of professional services to the water/wastewater industry; and Pump Integration Inc. of Easton, Pa., a technical services firm with expertise in pumps and systems primarily serving the power and water utility sectors.

The original Standards Partner, Mechanical Solutions Inc. in Whippany, N.J., is an engineering and consulting firm engaged in the pump compressor and turbine industries that perform analysis, testing, and troubleshooting services for OEMs and end-users.

Participation in HI’s Standards Partner program is open to both large and smaller-sized companies. Partners become eligible to receive, for an annual fee, a package of HI products and services such as: copies of all new and revised HI Standards, HI Reference Guides, access to the Institute’s e-Learning courses, listing on the HI Website, inclusion in HI’s online Consultants Directory, and more. Partner firms participate with HI members in the development of new standards and the updating of existing standards; they also receive invitations to participate in HI committee meetings and events.
