Because moisture in insulation can cause bacterial growth, corrosion, excessive thermal loss, and unwanted system shutdowns, Insul-Dry dry-air injection system removes moisture from piping and vessel insulation, the company states. This system injects very dry air through tubing that is in a groove under the vapor barrier of the insulation. It can be installed on most insulated piping or vessels during the construction phase and retrofitted on existing systems without a shutdown, says the manufacturer.
