PEACHTREE CITY, GA — Hoshizaki America has been recognized by the Foodservice Consultants Society International (FCSI) for developing the ROX

water electrolyzer.

In presenting the Distinguished Development Award, FCSI said the electrolyzer "provides one of the most effective means of cleaning while eliminating the use of harsh chemicals." The product combines tap water, salt, and electricity. The resulting water is said to be safe for use on hands,

cutting boards, utensils, counter tops, and with fresh food products.

According to Hoshizaki, the Food & Drug Administration has approved units for

use within commercial restaurant and food service environments.
