PEARL RIVER, NY — Hudson Technologies, Inc., announced on July 6 that the Rockland County Supreme Court approved a settlement between the company and United Water New York, Inc. (UWNY).

Kevin J. Zugibe, president and ceo of Hudson, said, “The intended effect of these agreements will be to achieve complete remediation of UWNY’s wells, and to ensure the continued availability of the Rampo Valley Well Field through the construction of a permanent stripping tower.”

In the agreement, a consent order was signed by Hudson with the New York State Department of Environ-mental Conservation regarding the past contamination of the UWNY well fields. Under this order, Hudson is required to continue operating the remediation system installed by the company at its Hillburn, NY facility in May 1999.
