Honeywell Acquires Aube Technologies

MINNEAPOLIS - Honeywell has acquired Aube Technologies Inc., a designer and manufacturer of line volt thermostats based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec. Financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

Aube was founded in 1992 and supplies electronic thermostats to heating and cooling equipment manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers. Product lines include more than 200 thermostats, relays, switches, and timers.

According to Honeywell, the acquisition will enable the company to extend its line of volt thermostats.

"Aube's innovative product line and strong commitment to quality is well known in the marketplace," said Mark Winston, Honeywell vice president of North American Homes Operations. "With this acquisition, Honeywell recognizes the extraordinary success Aube and its employees have achieved in the line volt thermostat category."

Aube's products and its 60 employees will be part of the Honeywell North American Homes business.
