Hansen Technologies Corp.: Refrigerant Control Valve Station

The MVP multivalve platform is a rugged, compact refrigerant control valve station. It is well suited for applications including pumped liquid feed to evaporators, liquid make-up to flooded and recirculator vessels, liquid injection for screw compressors, hot gas defrost to evaporators, and evaporator pressure control, states the company. Control valve functions include solenoid valve, all of the manufacturer’s common pressure regulator functions (inlet, outlet, and dual pressure) and sealed motor valve (1-1/2- and 2-inch port sizes). The valve includes six pressure taps to measure pressure at the inlet and outlet to the valve, as well as a 3/4-inch NPT side connection. It can be used with a variety of refrigerants, including R-717, R-134a, R-404, R-507, and CO2. The MVP has a safe working pressure of up to 600 psig (40 bar) and a temperature range of -60 to 240°F (-50 to 115°C). According to the manufacturer, the valve eliminates flange gasket leak potential and has an optional sight glass liquid indicator.
