Halcyon Technologies Announces IAQ Symposium Website

Halcyon Technologies LLC has announced the impending launch of its new website (www.halcyontec.com) — an “Indoor Air Quality Online Symposium.” In a press release, the company stated: “We will provide an information technology site for the best of the best to offer opinions, rebuttals, discussions, live chats, and marketing opportunities. We will dissect current indoor air quality issues to provide our members with the best information source on the Web.”

The company said it will involve all segments of the market including engineering firms, home inspectors, lawyers, restoration contractors, health and safety experts, as well as real estate and insurance companies. “This is the site where hospitals, schools, building owners, corporations, and homeowners will gather the latest technology news and formulate important buying decisions,” the press release stated.

The site will launch in January 2003. Halcyon said that this is an opportunity for people to submit a white paper on specific topics to be addressed or to offer documents on critical air quality issues. Topics for the first quarter and beyond relate to mold.

Mold topics include:

  • What is a “certified” mold inspector/restoration contractor in your view ?

  • What is mold testing?

  • What’s new in your world? (i.e., technologies, legal decisions, equipment, etc.)

  • Will we ever know “how clean is clean” for mold issues?
