GE ECM Poised For Growth After Sale To Regal-Beloit

BELOIT, Wis. - Regal-Beloit Corp (RBC) completed the purchase of GE's HVAC/Refrigeration Motors and Capacitors businesses, which includes GE's ECM products. Now named GE ECM by Regal-Beloit, the company has announced that it is making significant investments in research, development, and capacity to bring the next generation of air moving technologies to its customers around the world.

"We revolutionized residential HVAC in 1992 when we introduced the programmable ECM motor," said Paul Goldman, vice president and business leader of ECM products. "Thanks to the investment and support of Regal-Beloit, in the near future we'll be announcing the next generation of variable-speed ECM products that will build on our legacy of field-proven innovation."

Additionally, the company continues to expand its capacity with an investment in a second ECM manufacturing facility. Regal-Beloit's new HVAC/Refrigeration Motors and Capacitors operations include a full line of motors for residential HVAC applications and capacitors for HVAC and high-intensity lighting applications.
