NORTHVILLE, MI — After years in the HVAC service arena, a Detroit-area HVAC contractor and a top member of his former management team have opened a consulting business, offering solutions and support to plumbing and HVAC contractors who have made the decision to improve or grow their business. The new company is the Bergstrom-Elder Consulting Group.

Dan Bergstrom owned and managed Bergstrom’s Inc., Plumbing, Heating and Cooling, for 26 years prior to selling to Blue Dot where he remained general manager for the Detroit market until 2001. He was also past president of the Michigan Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Association and remains active in the industry.

Chris Elder worked with Bergstrom as the residential vice president at Blue Dot of Michigan and has 12 years of management experience, including six years in HVAC/plumbing operations. She is also a certified professional in human resources and is skilled in training, EEO/affirmative action, employee relations, and recruitment, to name a few areas of employee development.
