The 416D and 411D laser distance meters are designed to precisely and quickly measure distances up to 200 feet using advanced laser technology. According to the manufacturer, laser technology makes the laser distance meters far more accurate and dependable than devices using ultrasonic technology. The 411D measures up to 100 feet (30 meters) with an accuracy of ± 0.12 inches (± 3 millimeters); the 416D measures up to 200 feet (60 meters) with an accuracy of ±0.06 inches (±1.5 millimeters). Both meters have a bright laser for easy targeting and a large liquid crystal display. The simple user interface allows the user to easily add or subtract measurements and quickly calculates area and volume. An automatic shutoff feature improves battery life, providing up to 3,000 readings (411D) or 5,000 readings (416D) from a pair of AAA batteries. The 416D also offers a three-line, backlit display for improved visibility, memory for saving 10 measurements, splash and dust protection (IP54), and an audible activation shutdown notification. The meters are built to withstand a 4-foot drop.
