Supermarket Source Inc. of Hialeah, Fla., has become part of the Hill Phoenix Inc. national dealer network. Hill Phoenix designs and manufactures commercial refrigerated display merchandisers, refrigeration systems, integrated power distribution systems, and walk-in coolers and freezers.

As part of the national dealer network, Supermarket Source will supply Hill Phoenix refrigeration equipment in Florida and other parts of the southeastern United States, as well as parts of the Caribbean and Central America.

Supermarket Source works with a wide variety of food retailers, from large supermarkets to small to mid-sized locally owned grocery stores. The company supplies these customers with store layout and design, engineering, interior décor package design, refrigeration sales and installation, walk-in coolers, display items, and more. Co-owned by President Rey Pena and Juan Hernandez, Supermarket Source began two years ago as a spin-off from Refrigeration Engineer Systems, an industrial refrigeration company. Pena and Hernandez sought to develop more services and sources for grocery stores, supplying everything from walk-in coolers to shelving and refrigeration.

“With a choice in manufacturers, we chose Hill Phoenix so that we could offer their superior products to our customers. Hill Phoenix constantly pushes the forefront in terms of research and development with new technologies. Bottom line, we wanted to align ourselves with an industry leader, a company that is as dynamic with their product as we are in our business,” said Pena.
