Feb. 5, 2009: Emerson's Educational Services Division Certified by Continuing Education Group

ST. LOUIS - Emerson Climate Technologies announced that its Educational Services Division has become certified by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) as an Authorized Provider of Continuing Education Units (CEUs). IACET Authorized Providers are the only organizations certified to offer IACET-approved CEUs for all current training programs, as well as any created during the time of certification, for the next five years.

“Emerson Climate Technologies is proud of our education programs which train over 2,500 HVACR professionals each year in important technical skills so that our customers stay on the cutting edge,” said Larry Banas, director, Emerson Climate Technologies, Educational Services Division. “Our partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to lifelong learning and high standards for all of our programs, and we are excited to join such a prestigious association as well as an elite group of organizations which offer excellent continuing education and training programs.”

“We are pleased to welcome Emerson Climate Technologies, Educational Services Division, as our newest Authorized Provider organization,” said Dr. Fred Baker, president of IACET and administrator for Continuing Professional Education at Columbus State Community College in Ohio. “Emerson Climate Technologies, Educational Services Division, joins nearly 650 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education to ensure the highest possible standards are met.”

The Educational Services Division of Emerson Climate Technologies offers a variety of seminars at locations around the country. Offerings include:

• Compressor Operation and Service Seminar (3 days)

• E2 Refrigeration and Building Controls Seminar (3 days)

• Air Conditioning Scroll Compressor Seminar (1/2 day)

• Specialized Technology Seminars on Scroll Compressors, Screw Compressors and Refrigeration Troubleshooting (1 day each)

• Advanced Compressor Seminar (2 days)

In order to achieve Authorized Provider status, the Educational Services Division of Emerson Climate Technologies completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to all IACET standard category elements. Going forward, the Educational Services Division has agreed to comply with the IACET standard category elements, and will now issue the IACET name and logo on promotional course material. In addition, the Educational Services Division is now linked to the IACET Website and is recognized as offering high quality continuing education and training programs.
