HVAC Breaking News

Feb. 20, 2008: ARS Acquires Las Vegas-based HVAC Company

LAS VEGAS - American Residential Services LLC (ARS), a privately held, nationwide provider of heating, air conditioning, and plumbing services through the ARS and Rescue Rooter brands, has purchased the assets of several air conditioning and plumbing businesses operating in Las Vegas and Phoenix. ARS acquired 24/7 Service Corporation, which operates Yes! Air Conditioning, Yes! Plumbing, and Sunset Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning.

“We are proud of our growth and accomplishments in the Southwest, and joining the ARS network gives us the opportunity to rapidly reach our mutual expansion goals, and to create future opportunities for our associates,” said Ken Goodrich, president and owner, who now joins the senior management team at ARS. Goodrich will lead and expand existing HVAC and plumbing operations in Las Vegas and Phoenix, as well as ARS’s HVAC businesses in Southern California, along with Yes! key executives Lance Fernandez and Jeremy Prevost. Sunset founders Bill Moore and Shana Daigneau will continue to lead the Sunset operation in Las Vegas. Existing ARS locations in Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Tucson will operate in conjunction with the new businesses under the name Yes! ARS.

The newly combined businesses will build on accomplishments such as Goodrich being named national Business Professional of the Year by Plumbers Success International, and also Yes! Plumbing’s recognition as the number one plumber in Las Vegas by Citysearch. Additionally, Yes! Air Conditioning has been designated as one of the Top 50 dealers in the country by Goodman/Amana and was honored with their President’s Award. In addition, Sunset has been named as one of the top 25 Home Depot contractors in the country.

“We are building a nationwide HVAC and plumbing footprint by continuing to add quality service providers such as Yes! and Sunset,” said Dave Slott, president and chief operating officer of American Residential Services. “Ken and his team have grown their existing business through exceptional service and commitment to quality workmanship, along with a focus on employee satisfaction and retention. These coincide very well with our strategic vision to be the premier service provider and the premier employer in the HVAC and plumbing service industries.”
