Feb. 10, 2011: UltraViolet Devices Appoints New President

VALENCIA, Calif. - UltraViolet Devices Inc. (UVDI) announced that Richard Hayes, formerly vice president of sales and marketing, has been promoted to president of the company. UVDI is a leading provider of air, surface, and water UV-C disinfection and activated carbon filtration solutions for the residential, commercial, institutional, and health care markets.

“As UVDI’s vice president of sales and marketing, Richard had already been a key member of UVDI’s executive management team,” said Peter Veloz, chief executive officer for UVDI. “In his new position of president, Richard’s strong sales and marketing skills and broad management experience will be key assets in driving UVDI’s continued success in today’s rapidly changing global economy.”

Hayes has over 25 years of experience in business management, executive, and leadership positions. He is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. Prior to joining UVDI in 2009, Hayes held senior sales, marketing, and general management positions with manufacturing companies in the automotive industry.

“UVDI is a great company and I am honored to lead the talented team of UVDI people,” said Hayes. “UVDI’s technology and products benefit people and the environment around the world and I am excited about the opportunity to further build upon our company’s strong foundations of people, technology, products, and community.”
