Feb. 1, 2008: Clockwork Home Services Franchise Total Now Exceeds 400

SARASOTA, Fla. - Clockwork Home Services announced that it has officially exceeded the 400th franchisee benchmark within its portfolio of nationally branded home services companies. Currently, Clockwork holds 168 Benjamin Franklin Plumbing® franchises, 54 Mister Sparky Electrical® franchises, and 184 One Hour Air Conditioning and Heating® franchises across the United States, for a total of 406 franchises.

“We are proud to mark yet another milestone for our growing family of national franchisees,” said Tab Hunter, president of franchise operations for Clockwork Home Services. “This achievement is a result of the confidence that independent home services contractors have in our business model, which combines Clockwork Home Services’ high standards, best business practices, and brand reputation within this industry.”

The 400th franchisee was Brian McDermott, who purchased a Benjamin Franklin Plumbing franchise in December 2007. The plumbing company’s operations are located just outside of Cleveland, in North Royalton, Ohio. This is McDermott’s second Benjamin Franklin Plumbing company - his first Ben Franklin Plumbing was purchased just over a year earlier in October of 2006. This second purchase extends his territory to cover all of Cleveland and the surrounding metropolitan area.

“Being an owner of a Benjamin Franklin franchise has taught me to be a better businessman,” said McDermott. “After 17 years in the plumbing business, I now have a company that is organized and efficient enough to run without me being present 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This fact, along with the easy transition to franchise ownership, the corporate support, and the extensive training opportunities that Clockwork offers its franchises and employees, were all key factors in my decision to become an independent owner of a Benjamin Franklin company.”

As a Clockwork franchisee, contractors and business owners benefit from a nationally recognized brand with a turnkey management system, says the company. They also have access to company-wide programs and training opportunities provided by Clockwork, which include: Buy Max®, the company’s wholesale distributor; SuccessAcademy®, its training program; CKYellowPages®, its advertising program; and Phone Facts Evaluations®, its telephone tracking program.
